Laughter is truly a beautiful thing. Even if there is no reason to laugh at all!

Subtle reminders
Sometimes life is short.
but just a brief moment in time
death awaits us
sitting quietly in the corner, calmly
patient
Abrupt
A soul is torn free of the body it possesses
Only cold corpse left in the world
emotions detached
mourn
For those who leave us are forever gone
Only fond memories of their love will remain
But truly I tell you, they are gone
forever gone
so while you are here,
will you do me a favor?
Promise yourself today that you will live fully
Whole
Be firm and assertive in this promise
don’t half give yourself today
there is no promise you’ll be here tomorrow
I promise you
You’ll once be gone
only once
only once
and gone forever

Clouds in The Sky
Dreamer
I’m a dreamer, a believer, a do-er.
I see what I want
I let my imagination be alive
and spread like rapid-fire
I’m not afraid
To dance like no one is watching
Hell, do dance like everyone is watching!
I’m not afraid to tell someone what I believe in
To tell someone I’m scared
To tell someone I have fears
That I cry or that I laugh or that I’m unbelievably happy
right now
Read my soul
Its openly offered to you
Dabble in life
Listen to my stories
Embark in my journeys
Join in my joy
Because I’m not afraid,
To share my love.
Crystal Pedals
Fragile, delicate beauty
Waiting for you to fall
Split into a million pieces
Whole-heartedly giving into
The earth
Fulfilling richness
Truly
Rich
Being everything
Everywhere
All the time
I’m there
Even when you cant find me
My crystal is buried beneath the ground you walk on
Guiding you
Back
Towards the fragile beauty that began it all

The Wishing Well
Wish away my dear, but I have decided
I decided to fly free
Glowing in my own confident shell
Covered in the gold dust of your compliments, I smile
Gracefully I gloat, gliding over a reality that is mine
Setting fire to the stages I present myself on
Sparking the light in a life that is mine own
Finally mine, all mine.
No longer tearing through the pages of the past
Burned
A novel into my heart but archived at last
Go on my dear, wish away
I’m running through life now, a life that is mine own.
Catch me if you can
Wish away my dear.

Awake your soul
We were not meant to be alone
let people come to your rescue
Whether you think you need rescuing or not
life is more fulfilled with others in your life
To share
everything
The good stuff, the GREAT stuff and the
complicated
Invest your love in others
to grow in them
And you
closing yourself off, eliminates your chance to awake your soul
To brighten your senses and
learn
Be wide open
clear eyes
Welcoming heart
together
With people you love, could love and have
loved.

Joy
If we wait our whole lives for a certain moment, some
monumental occasion that will forever change our lives, we may waste a life
waiting. I find this a lot in certain athletes. Wanting an Olympic Gold, or to
be a National or Provincial champion, but not enjoying the process everyday to
get there. Or even in different jobs where we strive for a promotion or to
become partner of a corporation but only until that moment we are unhappy.
Joy should be found in every minute of your day. If you are
unable to enjoy the present moments of your job, sport or any sort of
activity…why are you doing it? Yes, I understand people have to make money and
sometimes to make a living you have to do things that may not always seem “pleasing”.
However, joy should still always be at the essence of your effort in any sort of activity. Whether it
is the joy of knowing you are doing something great, sparking a change
somewhere, helping to influence someone’s life in a positive way or pure joy in
the love of what you are doing…find that joy! It is easy to get to that money
hungry, power-seeking, pride-exploding state if you lose the true meaning
behind your work. When we lose our joy
in the efforts we put forth in our live, we become a leech for other people’s
joy around us. Although you may hate being a manager at McDonalds, the man
beside you deep frying some chicken may be in the happiest most joyous state
performing an activity he loves.
I believe we all have a calling. We all have some sort of activity or trait we can perform with excellence. These traits can be utilized in the workforce in someway regardless of how tied down you feel to just get any job that makes “good money”. How good is money when it comes at the cost of your personal happiness and daily joy? If the benefits of money override those feelings then I believe we have bigger issues on our hands. Perhaps I am being naive, or perhaps I am too young to fully understand all of the issues tied to making a living. But I do know this, if you are able to have joy in your work each and every day….you will never truly “work” a day in your life.

I am blessed to have two inspiring parents that both
followed their passions. Yes, making it as an actor or dancer is difficult and
is probably a huge risk when trying to raise a family of four. My parents
believed in their truly God given talents and pursued careers they were destined
to have. When people ask what my parents do for work, I say they do not work.
But they have careers in the performing arts.
I hope I have inspired those who are struggling with career
choices to trust in their talents, believe in themselves and follow their
heart. If you want to be a doctor, be a doctor! If you want to be a shoemaker,
go and make shoes! If you want to be a mime, be a mime. Be a florist! A painter! A professional dish cleaner! Try. Put the effort
worth to find your continuous joy in life. What is the worst that could happen?
You fail? You lose a lot of money? Last time I checked, there was no corner
store to buy happiness.
Indulge in the joy you find in your life today.
Namaste.
